Marjorie E. Lawler, 88, of Zanesville, Ohio died unexpectedly Friday morning, October 5, 2018 at Adina Pike Medical Center emergency room in Waverly, Ohio.

Born December 18, 1929 in Zanesville she was a daughter of the late J. Howard and Helen E. (Longstreth) Davis and was a 1947 graduate of Dresden Jefferson High School.  Mrs. Lawler was a former employee of North Terrace IGA and Dresden IGA.  She also work on the family farm for many years.  She formerly attended the Dresden First Baptist Church and she enjoyed crocheting and knitting.

Surviving are two sons, Larry (Lottie "Sis") Lawler of Dresden and William "Bill" (Carol Ann) Lawler of Waverly, Ohio; five grandchildren, Larry T. (Tracey) Lawler, Jeffery S. (Annette) Lawler, Kevin L. (Kelly) Lawler, Jarred (Carmen) Lawler and Jacob (Leanne) Lawler; seven great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.  Also surviving is a brother James (Lorilee) Davis of Canon City, Colorado.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Nina Mae Lawler.

Calling hours will be 11am to 1pm Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.

Funeral services will be at 1:00pm Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at the funeral home with Rev. Joseph Offenberger officiating.  Burial will be in Dresden Cemetery.
