FRAZEYSBURG ? Marjorie Claire Johnson, 79, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Thursday morning, April 10, 2008 in the emergency room of Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital, Zanesville, Ohio. Born May 20, 1928 in Dresden, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Janie (Birkhimer) Swope and was a graduate of Jefferson High School. She was also a graduate of Meredith Business College of Zanesville. Mrs. Johnson, along with her husband, operated Johnson?s Grocery in Frazeysburg for many years and later they worked as concessionaires at Dillon State Park. She was a member of Frazeysburg United Methodist Church, the 20th Century Club and the Order of Eastern Star where she was a Past Deputy Grand Matron. Surviving is two daughters, Regina (Randy) McNabb of Nashport, Ohio and Tamara Claire (Mike) Williams of Dresden; one sister, Hazel Williams of Frazeysburg; seven grandchildren, Heather McNabb, Michelle (Nathanael) Anderson, Angela (Kyle) Weber, Adam (Jasmin) Williams, Austin Williams, James (Lynn) McNabb and Darren (Mandy) McNabb; seven great grandchildren, Trevor and Trenton Weber, Jayden Edwards, Grant and Riley McNabb, Dylan and Abbegail McNabb and one great grandchild due in October; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Herbert Johnson, whom she married September 21, 1947 and who died December 4, 2002; three sisters, Mabel Swope, Lucille Newman and Doris Harper and a brother, Robert Swope. Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Sunday, April 13, 2008 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street. Funeral services will be 10:30am Monday, April 14, 2008 at the funeral home with the Rev. Jeff Belt officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
