FRAZEYSBURG ? Funeral services for Marilyn K. Stokes, 47, of Frazeysburg, Ohio, will be at 1:00pm Tuesday, January 18, 2005 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Pat Matheney officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery. Mrs. Stokes died Saturday morning, January 15, 2005 in the emergency room of Genesis Bethesda Hospital, Zanesville, Ohio after a sudden illness. Born September 8, 1957 in Zanesville, she was the daughter of Gordon K. Moran of Newark, Ohio and the late Betty Jo (Anderson) Moran, who died February 16, 1997. Mrs. Stokes was a 1975 graduate of Tri-Valley High School and was a talented homemaker and cook. She enjoyed being with her family and friends and was known for her willingness to serve and help others. She will be greatly missed. Surviving is her husband, Kenneth Stokes, whom she married September 1, 1979; one son and his significant other, Keith Gamble and Shelly Gardner of Frazeysburg; five grandchildren, Taylor Gamble, Trenton Gamble, Trey Gamble, Trey Gardner and Olivia Gardner; one step-son, Kenneth Richard Stokes of Nashport, Ohio; three sisters, Linda Reed of Newark, Pam (Jesse) Parrill of Frazeysburg and Paula Moran of Westerville, Ohio; five nieces and nephews; several aunts and uncles; and a special cousin, Gwendolyn Trout and family.
