NEWARK: A memorial service for Marilyn L. Shaffer, 70 of Newark will be 6:00 p.m. Friday, August 27, 2010 at the Church of God at Godâ??s Acres with Pastor Roger L. Decker officiating.
Marilyn passed away Monday, August 23, 2010 at Grant Medical Center in Columbus. She was born October 8, 1939 in Newark to the late Orville and Anna Belle (Simpson) Armentrout.
She was active at Zerger Hall and was a member of the Church of God at Godâ??s Acres.
Survivors include her brother, Robert Armentrout of Newark; a sister, Sharon Lees of Newark; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Shaffer; and a brother, Earl Armentrout.
Friends and family may visit one hour prior to the service, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at the church, 675 N. Cedar Street, Newark.
