Marilyn Ruth King, 60, of Dresden, died at 11:50AM Wednesday March 17, 2004 at her home following a courageous battle with cancer. Born May 25, 1943 in Zanesville, she was a daughter of the late Bryce H. Williams and Maxine (Gray) Williams of Trinway. A devoted band parent, she was a past treasurer of the Tri-Valley Band Boosters and loved sports and ?TBDBITL? as her son Tyler is a member of The Ohio State University Marching Band. She was a sales director for the Longaberger Co. and a member of the Prospect U. Methodist Church. Surviving in addition to her mother are her sons, Tyler C. King of Dresden, Douglas E. Stafford of Dresden, daughter, Christy J. (Mackenzie) Flood of Nashport, three grandchildren, Nathan Flood, Jacob Stafford, Brandon Stafford, and one expectant grandson next month, brothers, Gary (Nancy) Williams of Frazeysburg, Tom (Diane) Williams of Trinway, sisters, Anita (Bob) Rector of Frazeysburg, Debbie (Jim) Angelo of Trinway, several nieces and nephews and her special angels, Jane Nelson, Sharon and Pete Vickers, Carol Howard, Andrea White, Sharon Biehl and her caring hospice staff, Sue, Mary Jo, Kelly, Judy, Becky, Ann, Moni , Pam and Rev. Tom Myers.She was preceded in death by a son, Trent William King. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-9PM Friday March 19, 2004 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11AM with Pastor Carl Schaefer. Burial will follow in Prospect Church Cemetery.
