A funeral service for Marilyn K. Garno, 66 of Heath will be held Monday February 15, 2010 at 11:00 am at the Northside Church of Christ, 4427 Marion Road NE with Bruce Hissong and Frank Austin officiating. Burial will be in Wilson Cemetery.
Ms. Garno died Wednesday February 10, 2010 at the Flintridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born February 2, 1944 in Mt. Vernon, Ohio to the late Lewis and Catherine (Green) Garno.
She was a longtime member of Northside Church of Christ. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and crafts. She was a member of the McKean Crafting Circle. She was employed in various jobs including Walmart in Ashland, Granville IGA, the markets in Fredonia and Highwater and at the Schroer Turkey Farm.
She is survived by her children, Sherri Gore of Newark, Tammy (Mark) Overton of Utica, Bob (Betsy) Nethers of Nashport, John (Jolene) Nethers of Newark; brothers, Donnie (Penny) Garno of Newark, Carl â??Nickâ? (Francis) Garno of Newark; grandchildren, Sheila (James) Morrison, Kayla Ethell, Mandy Overton, Kelly Overton, Justin Nethers, Carey Nethers; great grandchildren, Haylee Jackson, Kylee McKnight, Emilee McKnight; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, special aunts and uncles.
Calling hours will be observed Sunday 2 to 4 and 6 to8 p.m. at the Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home 1850 West Main Street, Newark.
