Marie Williams, 91, of Clearwater Florida, fomerly of Columbus, Ohio and New Jersy, died at 2:40PM Tuesday December 13, 2005 at Mease Countryside Hospital following a three week illness. Mrs. Williams was born September 8, 1914 in Indianapolis, Indiana, a daughter of the late William and Bernice (Bunting) Ketron. She was a retired schoolteacher and taught second grade for many years. Mrs. Williams had taught in Upper Arlington schools in Ohio and Millville and Maywood schools in New Jersey. She was a member of the Heritage Methodist Church in Clearwater. She and her late husband had provided the Adamsville area with a community center that is named in their honor. Surviving are a daughter, Linda (James) Hilliard of Walpole, MA, a son, Larry (Judy) Williams of Hamburg, NJ; four grandchildren, Frank Williams, Lisa Ikhlasse, Kristin Cleary, Michael Nossal and six great grandchildren. Her husband, Dr. W. Wendell Williams, who died January 28, 1996 and two sisters, Helen Stotts and Mildred Lehman, preceded her in death. Friends may call 9AM-11AM Saturday December 17, 2005 at the Adamsville Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, where a funeral service will be held at 11AM with Pastor Bracken Foster officiating. Burial will follow in Baptist Cemetery.
