Marguerite J. Lacy, 86, of Dresden, died at 4:29PM Tuesday February 10, 2009 at Beckett House at New Concord. Mrs. Lacy was born March 26, 1922 in Nashport, a daughter of the late David E. and Helen (McDonald) Howell. Marguerite was well known in the Dresden area for her love of family, growing beautiful flowers and sewing abilities. Surviving are her three daughters, Judy Zimmer of Cambridge, Annis (Wilbur) Sauerbrey of Dresden, Dixie (Doug) McCargar of Terrell TX; 11 grandchildren, Jill (Mainnor) Pino, Pam Reed, Jed (Carrie) Zimmer, Holly (Greg) Lowery, Dan (Annette) Zimmer, Suzan (Perry) Harden, Sara Sauerbrey, Wade (Letitia) Sauerbrey, Frank James, Stephanie Overstreet, Ty (Kelley) James; 21 great grandchildren, Erica, Megan, Ryan Pino, Trent Reed, Alyssa Bauersman, Joel, Hallie, and Sam Zimmer, Amanda, Austin and Matt Lowery, Alex and Jessica Zimmer, Michael Harden, Caden and Nathan Sauerbrey, Lacy, Kiley and Kelby Overstreet, Mitchell and Mason James. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis R. Lacy on April 15, 1981. Friends may call 4-7PM Friday February 13, 2009 at the Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home in Dresden, where services will be held at 11AM Saturday with Pastor Max Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Dresden Cemetery.
