A funeral service for Margie P. Hanger 85 of Hanover will be held Saturday November 27, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hanover Presbyterian Church 732 E. Main Street, Hanover with the Rev. Charlsie Ramsey officiating. Burial will be in Hanover Cemetery.

Mrs. Hanger died Monday November 22, 2010 at her residence. She was born November 11, 1925 in Vienna, W. VA. To the late Charles and Zelma (Kesterson) Fox. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by sisters, Virginia Higgins, Zola Fox; brothers, Charles, Hayes and Ernest Fox.

Mrs. Hanger was a former employee with Sears and Union Insulating. Mrs. Hanger was a member of the Hanover Presbyterian Church since 1964. She sang as an alto voice in the church choir and helped prepare many church dinners. She was a great cook and well known for her baked goods. She and her husband enjoyed camping and traveling. They had visited England, California and spent nine winters in Big Pine Key. One of her greatest joys was family gatherings.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Grover C. Hanger, whom she married February 8, 1947; three sons, Richard (Karen) Hanger of Newark, Jeffrey Hanger of Hanover, Neal (Tammy) Hanger of Marne; grandchildren, Cory Hanger of Granville, Casey (Dana) Hanger of CT; Nici Hanger of Hilliard, J.R. Hanger of Marne; great-granddaughters, Michaela and Riley Hanger; sister, Dorothy Stewart of Vienna, WVA; brother, Vincent (Jane) Fox of Bradenton, FL; several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be observed Friday November 26, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the VENSIL-ORR & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME 1850 West Main Street.
