A funeral service for Margaret Jessie Rinehart, 96 of Newark will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 14, 2008 in the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with Rev. Don Allen and Rev. Robert L. Knox officiating. Burial will be in Rocky Fork Cemetery. Mrs. Rinehart passed away Thursday at LPN Health Care Facility in Newark. She was born June 30, 1912 in Perry County to the late William S. and Ella A. (Hatfield) Kaufman. She attended Mainsville and Straits grade school's in New Lexington. She was a member of the Newark Church of Christ. Survivors include her son, Clarence Purdy; granddaughter, Diane Smith, of Johnstown; Step-Sons, Ronald (Gibby) Matthews of Newark, and Richard Matthews of Zanesville; 15 grandchildren; 6 great-great grand children; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Clarence E. Purdy, Adam L. Siegferth, Oren R. Rinehart; three daughters, five brothers, and five sisters. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at the Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 1850 W. Main Street, Newark, Ohio. Memorial Contributions may be to a charity of the donor's choice.
