Margaret Kreis, 79, of Adamsville, Ohio died Friday evening, December 18, 2020 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville, Ohio

Born September 15, 1941 in Zanesville she was a daughter of the late Robert and Evelyn (Black) Elmore and was a graduate of Zanesville High School and Meredith Business College.   Margaret worked at Jones Funk & Payne Law office and later she retired from Walmart after 18 years of service.  She was a faithful member of Fairview Community Christian Church where she served as Treasurer for several years.  Margaret was a home-body and loved to read her Bible and watch Hallmark movies.

Surviving is her loving husband of 48 years, Weldon L. Kreis, whom she married June 17, 1972; two children, Michelle (Brian) Barr of New Concord, Ohio and Matthew (Lori) Kreis of Adamsville; seven step grandchildren; a brother, Donald (Joyce) Elmore; and a sister, Ilene Allen.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, David, Richard and Jim Elmore.

Friends and family may call from 3pm to 7pm Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.

Funeral services will be 10:00am Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at the funeral home with Pastor Bill Pittman officiating.  Margaret will be laid to rest at Heaven's Gates Cemetery, Adamsville.
