Margaret "Lois" Denman, 89, of Zanesville, Ohio died Thursday morning, January 9, 2014, at Baptist Village Care Center in Erlanger, Kentucky.
Mrs. Denman was born March 7, 1924 in Zanesville, Ohio and was a 1942 graduate of Lash High School and Ohio University. She was a retired English teacher with Tri-Valley Schools. Mrs. Denman was a member of First Christian Church of Zanesville.
Surviving are her two sons and daughters in-law, Ted W. and Lee Ann Denman of Edgewood, Kentucky and Mark W. and Sandra Leah Denman of Canal Fulton, Ohio; two grandchildren, Kathy L. ("Jim") Darpel and Misty E. ("Jamie") Lawrence; five great grandchildren, James Mason Lawrence, Owen D. Lawrence, Kylee M. Lawrence, Madeline O. Darpel and Miranda L. Darpel; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth W. Denman whom she married August 6, 1943 and who died April 11, 2011.
Calling hours will be from 12pm to 2pm Sunday, January 12, 2014 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm Sunday, January 12, 2014, at the funeral home with the Rev. Michael Denman officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
Lunch will be provided at the Frazeysburg United Methodist Church immediately following the graveside committal service. Everyone is invited.
