Marcella R. "Marcie" Dunfee, 80, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Friday afternoon, August 19, 2022 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville.

Born May 1, 1942 in Zanesville, she was a daughter of the late Franklin C. and Margaret F. (Stotts) Powell and was a 1960 graduate of Frazeysburg High School.  She was Methodist by faith and attended Nashport United Methodist Church.  Over the years Marcie worked at Tom's Ice Cream Bowl, Harper's Market of Frazeysburg and assisted in the cafeteria at Frazeysburg Elementary School, but mainly, she was a homemaker.   Marcie enjoyed flower gardening and coloring pictures and she especially enjoyed family reunions at Armco Park.  She had great interest in local history, especially the Ohio-Erie Canal, and she enjoyed visiting Riverside Park in Zanesville.

Surviving is her loving husband of sixty years, Paul A. Dunfee, whom she married on June 25, 1962; two sons, Michael A. Dunfee and Daniel G. Dunfee, both of Frazeysburg; four grandchildren, Michael (Latoya) Dunfee, Jr., Hayley Dunfee, Paige Dunfee and Grant Dunfee all of Zanesville; five great grandchildren, Westin, Kestra, Benson, Isaiah, and Blake; a brother, Dale (Carol) Powell of Zanesville; two sisters, Lynn King of Nashport and Cathy (Mike) Hittle of Tulsa, Oklahoma; a brother in-law, Jeff Norris of Nashport, a former daughter in-law, Jennifer Dunfee of Zanesville and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sheila Norris and a brother in-law, David King.

Friends and family may call from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Homes, 110 West Third Street.

Funeral services will be 10am Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at the funeral home with Pastor John Kay officiating.  Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
