Obituary
A graveside memorial service for Mac R. Steele, 86 of Newark will be held Monday November 14, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Rev. Wiliam Rauch officiating. Military honors wil be conducted by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.
Mr. Steele died October 12, 2011 at the Autumn Care Center of Newark. He was born January 1, 1925 in Newark, Ohio to the late Homer and Esther (Bendure) Steele.
He was retired from Pure Oil as a truck driver. He served in the U. S. Navy during WWII.
He is survived by his daughter, Sandy (Terry ) Wheeler of Las Vegas, Nevada; step-daughter, Karen Hamilton of Granville; brother, Harold Steele; sister, Gladys Ellington; seven grandchildren; twelve great- grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Bonnie F. (Cotterman) Steele on August 9, 2011.
