A funeral service for Mable P. Henderson, 93 of Newark will be held Tuesday November 13, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. John C. Minihan officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Henderson died Friday November 9, 2007 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. She was born August 24, 1914 in Marietta to the late Thomas and Abbigail (McCabe) Newlon. She was a 43 year member of the First Presbyterian Church and a member of the Women?s Circle Club. She is survived by her daughter, Betty L. Gray of Newark; son, Rick (Marcia) Henderson of Newark; grandchildren, Gary (Julie) Mummey of Mansfield, Bob (Judy) Mummey of Heath, Jenifer (Bob) Bowers of Conneaut, Ericka Ann Henderson of Columbus, Robyn Mummey and Suzanne Gray; twelve great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Dean R. Henderson, October 20, 1985; a grandson, Richard Mummey; a great-great granddaughter, Autumn-Rayn Frost. Calling hours will be observed Monday November, 12, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, 1850 West Main Street. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 65 N. 3rd Street, Newark, Ohio 43055. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
