At the personal request of Mabel Lucille Mizer, private graveside funeral services will be held at Newark Memorial Gardens with Rev. William K. Wayt officiating. Mrs. Mizer died Saturday March 14, 2009 at the Newark Healthcare Centre. She was born June 2, 1922 in Newark, a daughter of the late Lester E. and Mabel M. (Moler) McKnight. A 1940 graduate of Granville High School, she had lived in Newark all her life and had spent winters in Florida from 1980 through 2006. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Douglas Kermit and Marti Mizer of Columbus and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her death were her husband, Charles Kermit Mizer, on June 16, 1991; her brother, Lester E. ?Red? McKnight, Jr. and two sisters, Betty M. Fowles Miller and Jo-Ann Schenck King.
