FRAZEYSBURG ? Mabel M. Crawmer, 87, of Zanesville, Ohio died Sunday evening, December 6, 2009 at Cedar Hill Care Center in Zanesville. Born February 25, 1922 in Alma, West Virginia she was the daughter of the late Thomas M. and Bessie L. (Jones) Seckman. Mrs. Crawmer was a clerk at the Nashport Post Office where she retired in 1983 after 30 years of service. She was also a volunteer at Good Samaritan Hospital for many years. Surviving is one daughter, Sandra Rockwell of Zanesville; one son Robert Crawmer of Nashport; five grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; ten great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth P. Crawmer, whom she married December 24, 1940 and who died January 1, 1988; a son in-law, Arthur Rockwell; five brothers and four sisters Calling hours will be 2 to 6pm Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street. Funeral services will be 11:00am Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at the funeral home with the Rev. Charles Imhoff officiating. Burial will be in Hanover Cemetery.
