M. Marie Strohacker, 83, of Dresden, passed away Wednesday October 1, 2008 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Strohacker was born October 10, 1924, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Alvin and Lillian (Buschner) Little. In 1988, she retired as a finishing supervisor from Shaw-Barton-JII after 41 years of service. For 25 years, she had bowled in the Shaw-Barton league. During WWII she had worked as a ?Rosie the Riveter? in the manufacture of Allied aircraft. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the love of her life with and she looked forward to attending all their sports activities. Mrs. Strohacker was a member of the old Chalfant Methodist Church. Surviving are a son, Jerry (Wava) Strohacker of Dresden; a daughter, with whom she had made her home the past two years, Sherry (Robert) Paynter of Dresden; grandchildren, Brenda (Raymond) Frew,Jr., of Frazeysburg, Craig (Diane) Strohacker of Nashport, Bobbi (Darin) Wise of Frazeysburg, Holly (Adam) Mitchell of Nashport; great grandchildren, Eric and Ashley Mitchell, Cullin Frew, Austin and Nathan Strohacker, Lorin and Lydia Wise; a brother, Robert (Wendy) Little of Dresden and their children, Randy and Steve Little and she will be missed by her canine companion, Rusty. She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Strohacker on February 1, 1992; two great-grandchildren, Jerad Ray Frew and Chase Craig Strohacker; a nephew Jim Little; her sister, Jeanette Westcott and her husband Louis. Friends may call 2-4PM Saturday October 4, 2008 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, where services will be held at 2PM Sunday with Pastor Jeff Belt officiating.
