M. Marlene "Sadie" Green, 78, of Adamsville, Ohio died Monday evening, August 21, 2017 at Somerset Health and Rehabilitation Center in Somerset, Ohio.

Born May 8, 1939 in Adams Township of Muskingum County she was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Frances (Fawcett) Foster and was a 1956 graduate of Adamsville High School. Mrs. Green was a homemaker and a member of the Prospect United Methodist Church. For seven years she was a Girl Scout leader in the Adamsville Community and was treasurer of the Adamsville Progressive Council for fourteen years. She was also a member of the Bethesda Friendly Neighbors Club, the Adamsville Card Club and was coordinator for the Adamsville Community Building.

Surviving is her husband of 60 years, Floyd W. Green whom she married March 3, 1957; one son, Skip (Debbie) Green of Dresden; three daughters, Brenda Bissett of Coshocton, Ohio, Lisa (Chris) Cannon of Adamsville and Tammy (Darron) Delancey of Zanesville, Ohio; seventeen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Also surviving is a son in-law, Michael Matthews, two step brothers and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Vickie Matthews, a grandchild, Shaley Delancey, a son in-law, Steve Bissett and two brothers, George Foster and Larry Foster.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Thursday, August 24, 2017 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Friday, August 25, 2017 at the funeral home with Pastor Sharon Williamson officiating. Burial will be in Bethesda Church Cemetery near Adamsville.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Adamsville Community Building Fund or to Adamsville Volunteer Fire Department.
