DRESDEN ? Louis H. ?Henry? Lauvray, 77, of 10550 North River Road, Dresden, Ohio, died at 4:00am Wednesday, December 4, 2002 at his home.Born March 5, 1925 in Linton Township of Coshocton County, Ohio, he was the son of the late Henry E. and Clara C. (Boyer) Lauvray. Mr. Lauvray was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School of Coshocton and was a veteran of World War II serving with the Navy Sea Bee?s. He retired in 1987 with 37 years of service as a steelworker and foreman with Armco Steel Corporation of Zanesville. He was a member of St. Ann?s Catholic Church of Dresden and the Veteran?s Club and Management?s Club of Armco Steel.Surviving is his wife, Betty Jean (Graves) Lauvray, whom he married April 24, 1948; two sons and daughter?s in-law, Timothy Louis and Donna Lauvray of Toledo, Ohio, and Thomas Orin and Sandy Lauvray of Dresden; a sister, Helena Bonnett of Lake Mary, Florida; three grandchildren, Thomas Alan (Jennifer) Lauvray, Kevin Dean (Timera) Lauvray and Brian Louis Lauvray; three great grandchildren, Lyndzie, Laikyn and Lydia Lauvray; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, a brother, Jack Lauvray and two sisters, Dorothy Tubbs and Cecilia Holder, preceded his in death.Calling hours will be 6 to 8pm Friday, December 6, 2002 at the Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street, Dresden, Ohio with Christian Wake services at 7:45pm.Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30am Saturday, December 7, 2002 at St. Ann?s Catholic Church in Dresden with Rev. Father Jack Maynard as celebrant. Burial will be in Dresden Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to the Parkinson?s Disease Foundation.
