Obituary
Loretta Mae Gibson Powelson, 77, of Dresden, Ohio passed away Tuesday morning, October 20, 2015 at Genesis Morrison House after a brief illness.
Born August 25, 1938 in Zanesville, Ohio she was a daughter of the late William O. and Arlie Mae (Goins) Gibson. Loretta was a loving mother and grandmother and was retired from the General Electric Company.
Surviving are two sons, Randy Sutton of Zanesville and Craig (Denise) Sutton of Nashport, Ohio; a daughter, Carole (Doug) Jewitt of Dresden; a brother, Howard (Jeannie) Gibson of Zanesville; ten grandchildren, Alan J. (Ashley) Sutton, Kyle Sutton, Wendy Swartz, Brianna Sutton, Dustin (Nikki) Matchett, Rebekah Sutton, Heidi (Van) Adams, Jared Hood, Daniel Jewitt and Aaron (Luiza) Jewitt and ten great grandchildren, Jacob, Isaac, Van Eli, Alan, Tylie, Hudson, Weston, Jack, Ryan and Cody.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Powelson; a son, Alan W. Sutton; a daughter, Karla Hood; five sisters and two brothers.
There will be no calling hours.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
