FRAZEYSBURG ? Lois L. Ramsey McKee, 88, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died at 12:15am Monday, August 15, 2005 at Genesis Extended Care Unit, Zanesville, Ohio. Born July 1, 1917 in Bedford Township of Coshocton County, she was the daughter of the late George A. and Grace (Laughlin) Ramsey and was a 1934 graduate of Warsaw High School. Mrs. McKee was also a graduate of Muskingum College and retired from River View Schools having taught for twenty-five years, including at Black Run one-room School, Warsaw, Fallsburg and Union schools. Mrs. McKee also assisted her husband for many years on their family farm in Pike Township of Coshocton County. She was a member of the Frazeysburg Presbyterian Church and the Quest Circle of the church and was a Sunday school teacher for many years. She was also a member of the WCTU, the Coshocton County Historical Society and the Retired Teachers Association of Coshocton County. Surviving is her husband, Roy E. McKee, whom she married June 16, 1939; one son, George (Nancy) McKee of Cincinnati, Ohio; two daughters, Jean (Albert) Kinsey of Frazeysburg and Eleanor (Neil S.) Fujita of Waverly, Ohio; six grandchildren, Vance (Kip) Kinsey of Virginia, Vernon (Jennifer) Kinsey of Florida, Von (Carol) Kinsey and Valerie Kinsey, both of Frazeysburg, Beth (Eric) Schneider of Cincinnati and Chris McKee of Hilliard, Ohio; seven great grandchildren; one brother, James T. (Kathleen) Ramsey, MD of Frankfort, Kentucky and one sister, Alice (Mrs. Roy K.) Gross of Coshocton; three sisters in-law, six cousins and eleven nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two infant sisters, Mary Eleanor and Audrey Ramsey, two nieces, one nephew and many cousins. Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Thursday, August 18, 2005 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street, Frazeysburg. Funeral services will be 11:00am Friday, August 19, 2005 at the funeral home with Dr. James A. Schumacher and Mr. Harold Garber officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Frazeysburg Presbyterian Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
