NEWARK ? A funeral service for Lois (Mowery Fown) Redman, 74 of Newark will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday April 6, 2005 at the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, with Pastor Les Boling officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Johnstown. Mrs. Redman died Friday afternoon at the Selma Markowitz Care Center. She was born November 10, 1930 in Chillicothe, to the late Hiram and Garnett (McKenzie) Mowery. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Mrs. Redman is survived by eight children; Gary (Paula) Fown of Winterhaven, Fla., Terry (Nancy) Fown of Sweetwater, Tenn., Teresa Fown of Whitehall, Lynn (Dan) Donahue of Ft. Myers, Fla., Kim (Bob) Beach of Pataskala, Rick (Cathi) Fown of Myrtle Beach, SC., Dee (Mark) Elschlager of Ft. Myers, Fla., and Janice (Brad) Haag, of Hebron; a brother, Donald Mowery of Somerset, Ohio; four sisters, Evelyn Stevens, Jane Stevens, Sue Schoedel, and Nancy Ginn; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Richard Fown, whom she married in June of 1948 and who died in 1976; a son Larry Fown; a daughter, Kathy Fown; and a granddaughter Nicole Fown. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 Monday and Tuesday at the funeral home, 1850 W. Main Street, Newark.
