Linda Irene Thomas, 79, of Dresden, died Tuesday evening, November 4, 2025, at Genesis Hospital.

Born October 15, 1946, in Zanesville, she was a daughter of the late Bernard H. and Marion M. (Melrose) Smith and a 1964 graduate of Jefferson High School. Linda worked in repairs for The Longaberger Company for 25 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church – Dresden.

Surviving is her husband, Bruce P. Thomas, whom she married on June 26, 1970; two daughters, Penny E. Gregrich and Angie M. Newmen; daughter-in-law, Amy Thomas; five grandchildren, Kiana, Shelby, Addison, Aiden, and Clayton; two brothers, Rick B. (Diane) Smith and William R. (Marsha) Smith.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, John B. Thomas.

Family and friends may visit from 10:00am till the time of service at Noon, Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street, Dresden.

Funeral service will be held at noon, on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, with Mr. Frosty Pierce officiating.

Linda will be laid to rest at Dresden Cemetery.
