Linda L. Moran, 79 of Newark passed away on Sunday June 4, 2023 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. She was born December 14, 1943 in Newark to the late George William and Anna Marguerite "Maggie" (Frazier) McCoy.

Linda was a graduate of Licking Valley High School and received an Associate Degree from COTC. She was an employee of Blackstone Deli and Wendy's both of Granville. She belonged to the Licking County Historical Society and The Planetary Society.

She was always fascinated by science fiction and American Indian traditions.  She had visited all the 50 states and had hoped to travel to Ireland. She enjoyed playing pool at The Wall. She was a devoted superman fan. Linda had a "green thumb" when it came to her flower gardens and a had special love of cactus plants.

She is survived by her children, Amy (Richard) Carson of Pataskala, Michael (Cindy) Bendure of Dublin; grandchildren, Dustin Bendure, Sydney Bendure, Ashley Carson, Reece Carson; Siblings, Sally Jo (Stan) Mikush, John (Vickie) McCoy, Steven (Sue) McCoy, Bob (Rachel Harris) McCoy, Dan McCoy; brother-in-law, George Green; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Allen Bendure; sisters, Judi Green, Ruby McCoy; brothers, Donald (Gay) McCoy and Bill (Gene) McCoy.

A celebration of life service will be held at Wilson Cemetery, 4254 Marion Road, NE on Friday June 9, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. The family requests everyone to wear green.

The family has requested memorial to the Licking County Historical Society, 5 N. 6th Street, Newark, OH 43055.
