Linda Lou Evans, 68, of Newark, Ohio died Saturday morning, February 20, 2021 at her home with her loving family at her side.

Born September 3, 1952 in Clarksburg, West Virginia she was a daughter of the late Burl and Avenell (Huffman) Nixon and was a 1971 graduate of Newark High School.  She attended the Second Baptist Church of Newark.  Linda retired in 1996 from Newark Health Care Center where she was an LPN.  She enjoyed camping, fishing and doing crafts.  She also loved cooking and baking.

Surviving is her loving husband of over 49 years, Steven P. Evans, Sr. whom she married June 25, 1971; two sons, Paul Evans of Howard, Ohio and Steven P. Evans, Jr. of Newark; two daughters, Stephanie (Kevin) Davis and Aimee (Heath) Grigsby, both of Newark; six grandchildren, Kasi, Dylan, Devin, Abby, Dallas and Kavin; many adopted grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.  Also surviving is one brother, Burl Ray (Shelia) Nixon of Newark.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Olof Nixon.

There will be no calling hours.  Memorial services will be held at a later date.
