Lillie Belle Lapp, 97, of Adamsville died on Tuesday afternoon, May 4, 2021 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House in Zanesville.

Born March 20, 1924 in Salem Township of Muskingum County, she was a daughter of the late Gerald E. and Glenna P. (Pickens) McHenry and was a graduate of Adamsville High School.  Lillie was a proud farmer's wife for life.  She was a faithful member of New Hope Lutheran Church where she played piano for many years.  She was also a member of the Lutheran ELCW, Farm Bureau Advisory Council 5A, the Muskingum County Cattleman's Association and the Adamsville Homemakers.

Surviving is a son, Larry (Deborah) Lapp of Zanesville; a daughter, Linda (Carl) Vernon of Adamsville; five grandchildren, Lee (JoAnn) Lapp, Melissa (Pat) Nash, Rob (Bobbi) Vernon, Rich (Leslie) Vernon and Ryan (Shannon) Vernon; thirteen great grandchildren, Sydney (Marc) Hadley, Cody Kelly, Garrett Lapp, Jessica and Jack Nash, Bryce, Cutter, Tanner, Brielle, Brant, Copper, Cole and Coy Vernon.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bryce L. Lapp whom she married June 17, 1942 and who died March 31, 2006; a sister, Ethel L. Paulin; four great grandchildren, Lacey Lapp and the Vernon triplets.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Hope Lutheran Church, Scholarship Funds, 7025 Adamsville-Otsego Road, Adamsville, Oh 43802.

Friends and family may call from 6pm to 8pm Monday, May 10, 2021 at New Hope Lutheran Church, 7025 Adamsville-Otsego Road, Adamsville, Ohio.  Calling will also be for one hour prior to the funeral service, which will be 11:00 am Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at the church with Pastor Mary Molnar officiating.

Lillie Belle will be laid to rest next to her husband, Bryce, at New Hope Lutheran Cemetery, Adamsville.
