Lillie Mae Kennison, 83, of Adamsville, died at 6:25AM Thursday March 11, 2004 from a battle with cancer at the Muskingum County Home where she had been a resident the past two years. Mrs. Kennison was born November 14, 1920 in Perry Township, a daughter of the late Floyd and Carrie (Marshall) Leasure. A devoted homemaker, she loved gardening, working with flowers and was a member of the Adamsville Homemakers Extension Group, the Adamsville Grange and an active member of the Adamsville U. Methodist Church and WSCS at the church. She is survived by three sisters, Bernice Estadt, Bertha Gale both of Zanesville, Mildred (Dean) Dozer of Ft. Myers, Florida and several nieces, and nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Kennison on Nov. 6, 1995. Friends may call 6-8PM Saturday March 13, 2004 at the Adamsville Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, where services will be held at 2PM Sunday with Pastor Bracken Foster officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Adamsville U. Methodist Church.
