Lewis Wayne Shroyer, 75, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Saturday October 9, 2021, at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He was born on May 4, 1946, in Zanesville, Ohio to the late Charles W. "Judy" & Dorothy R. Lacy Shroyer.

Along with his parents, Wayne is reunited in passing with his sisters, Janet (Bill) Mercer of Coshocton, Ohio and Joanne (Bill) Foraker of Zanesville.

Wayne was a hardworking man with a heart of gold. He was a skilled and dedicated carpenter for many years. When Wayne was not tinkering with his multitude of projects, he could be found making memories with his family and friends. His laid-back demeanor made it so he never met a stranger, Wayne would gladly offer the shirt off his back to anyone in need. In his free time, Wayne relished time spent in old antique shops and perusing collectibles. Above-all-else, Wayne loved his family with his whole heart. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for his quick wit, sense of humor, and the love he had for his family and friends.

Left to cherish Wayne's memory are his adoring longtime companion and best friend, Wanda McArn of Myrtle Beach, SC; sons, David Shroyer (Polly) of Sugar Hill, GA and Michael Shroyer (Kara) of Spingboro, OH; daughter at heart, Eileen Beeson of Myrtle Beach, SC; grandchildren, Courtney, Nicole, Brandyn & Summer; great-grandson, Trader; sisters, Judith (Gene) Bice of Zanesville and Kathy (Frank) Luckeydoo of Zanesville; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins; a large, loving, extended family and many supportive friends and neighbors.

A Celebration of Wayne's life will be held from 3pm to 7pm Friday, October 22, 2021 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.
