A funeral service for Letha Juanita Orr, 89 of Thornville will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday March 22, 2007 at the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Bethel A. Bateson officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery. Mrs. Orr died Monday morning at Newark Health Care Centre. She was born May 8, 1917 in Newark. Mrs. Orr graduated from Newark High School. She retired as a social worker at Licking Memorial Hospital. She had been a member of St. John?s Lutheran Church and Good Hope Lutheran Church. She was a member of theOrder of Eastern Star and had been active with the Licking Memorial retirees. She is survived by her son, Robert L. Orr, Jr. and his wife Lori, of Glenford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two infant daughters. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 1850 W. Main Street, Newark. Memorial contributions may be made to the Licking County Animal Shelter; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
