Leonard M. Starcher, 61, of Adamsville, died at 5:45PM Friday September 16, 2005 at Genesis Extended Care & Rehabilitation Center, where was a resident after suffering stroke in May 2002. Mr. Starcher was born January 11, 1944 in Clinton, Ohio a son of the late Harley and Helen (Matheny) Starcher. He had worked in the maintenance department at the Longaberger Company and enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Surviving are his children, Terry Starcher of Barberton, Rodney Starcher of Wadsworth, Chad Rowe of Wooster, Zachary Starcher of Mansfield, Kari Ann Starcher of Akron, Valerie Starcher of Mansfield, his fianc?, Barbara Pittman of Zanesville, brothers, Glen Starcher, Ralph Starcher both of New Concord, sisters, June McCort of Adamsville, Lois Norsworthy of Pennsylvania, Janice Bishop of New Concord, step children, Hope Finney, Charity Pittman, Faith Pittman, grandchildren, Danny Shelly, Tara and Anthony Starcher, Jamao and Cora Starcher, Amber; Brooke Pittman, Ashia and Cheyenne Rowe, Makayla and Jacob Shelly, step grandchildren, Brandon, Brittany and Jessica Finney, Nykita and Ryder Pittman. He was preceded in death by his son Nicholas J. Starcher on November 1, 2003, a brother, Richard Matheny, sisters, Irene Starcher and Betty Janecek. Friends may call from 6-9PM Monday September 19, 2005 at the Adamsville Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, where service will be held on Tuesday at 11AM with Pastor Richard Chambers officiating. Burial will follow in Baptist Cemetery, Adamsville.
