FRAZEYSBURG ? Lena M. Ramsey, 88, of Perryton, Ohio died at 11:15am Monday, October 31, 2006 at the Newark Health Care Center, Newark, Ohio. Born November 16, 1917 in Fallsbury Township of Licking County, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence S. and Zelda A. (Noland) Ashcraft and was a 1936 graduate of Frazeysburg High School. Mrs. Ramsey was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Pleasant Christian Church. She was also a member of the Missionary Society of the church and a former member of the Perry Township Historical Society. Surviving is her husband of 70 years, William R. Ramsey, whom she married March 23, 1936; three daughters, Darlene (Charles) Lentz of Frazeysburg, Barbara J. Ramsey of Newark and Carolyn (Stephen) Bretz of Cincinnati, Ohio; seventeen grandchildren, including Rosemary Barboza of Newark; forty great grandchildren; fifteen great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Darrell R. Ramsey; two brothers, Kenneth and Merideth Ashcraft and one great grandson, Antonio Martinez. Calling hours will be 3 to 6pm Thursday, November 2, 2006 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street. Funeral services will be 10:30am Friday, November 3, 2006 at Mt. Pleasant Christian Church with the Rev. Karl Hoffman officiating. Burial will be in Robinson Cemetery.
