LeeRoy Meade, 91, of Dresden, formerly of Lancaster, died Wednesday evening, at his daughters' home.
Born April 2, 1933, in Fort Gay, WV, a son of the late Martin Luther and Mary Ann (Wilson) Meade. LeeRoy was a landscaper supervisor for East Side Nursery and Wilson Landscaping. He was a U. S. Army Veteran and Past Member of Helber Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and OSU and Oregon Ducks fan. LeeRoy enjoyed Western movies and TV shows.
Surviving is his wife, Sylvia Ann (Feigley) Meade, whom he married March 16, 1989; two daughters, Diane (Mike) Brown of Cincinnatti and Ileda (Tim) Marshall of Dresden; two sons, Billy (Beth) Meade of Johnstown and Charles (Marjo) Meade of Maine; four step children, Cheryl (Richard) Stai, Cindy (Doug) Young, Lori Blade, and Jeff Smyers all of Lancaster; a son-in-law, Lee Tipple; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; two step great great grandchildren on the way, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Jack Meade; three sisters, Stella Crum, Hester Perry, and Gussie Furgeson; special friend, Charles Smyers; step grandson, Austin Stai and a special stepdaughter, Melissa Tipple.
No services will be held at this time.
