Funeral services for Lawrence W. ?Larry? Hunt, 70 of Buckeye Lake will be held Wednesday January 2, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Myers officiating. Burial will be in Newark Memorial Gardens with military services by the Licking County Veterans Alliance. Mr. Hunt died Friday December 28, 2007 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. He was born July 14, 19037 in Newark to the late Arthur Walter and Margaret (Robinson) Hunt. He retired in 1998 from Rockwell Manufacturing with 33 years of service. Following retirement he was employed at the Amerihost Inn at Hebron. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a member of UAW Local # 1037. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan and enjoyed family vacations and trips to Wheeling. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Iva J. (Miller) Hunt, whom he married October 4, 1959; sons, Stephen (Twila) Hunt of Buckeye Lake, Adam (Kim) Hunt of Newark; grandchildren, Amanda Hunt of Newark, Steven Hunt of Buckeye Lake; great-granddaughter, Trinity Hunt of Newark; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sisters, Rosie Rubeck, Pat Shaw; brothers, Jack Hunt and Robert Hunt. Calling hours will be observed Monday 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home 1850 West Main Street.
