A funeral service for Lawrence ?Larry? Keating, 61 of Hebron will be held Saturday February 14, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with Bishop T.L. Kirk and Pastor James L. Kirk officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Forks Cemetery. Mr. Keating died Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at his residence. He was born December 28, 1947 to the late Lawrence and Wanda (Hackworth) Keating, Sr. Mr. Keating retired in 2006 as a scheduler at Boeing Corp. with 10 years service. He also had been employed 28 years at the Newark Air Force Base. He was involved at the Christian Life Center and enjoyed gardening. He had a love for music especially playing guitar. He is survived by his wife of 41 years Janet S. (Hankins) Keating, whom he married February 18, 1967; two daughters, Kristina (Burton) Cornwell of Newark, Kimberley (Alex) Keating-Tucker of Wooster; three grandchildren, Brooke Bailey, Celeste Hartman both of Wooster, Tyler Cornwell of Newark; longtime friend, Harry Yocum of Newark. Calling hours will be observed Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home 1850 West Main Street. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Christian Life Center, 665 Linnville Road SE, Heath, Ohio 43056-8003. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
