Lawn N. Wood, 79, of Adamsville, died at 3:30PM Sunday May 22, 2005 at Adams Lane Care Center. Mr. Wood was born January 14, 1926 in Fayette County, West Virginia, a son of the late Hillary and Mamie (Foster) Wood. He had worked many years for Peabody Coal Company. He was a loving father and husband, and took special pride in his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving are his children, Larry (Ann) Wood of Roseville, Roland (Loraine) Wood of White Cottage, Timothy (Cheryl) Wood of Zanesville, Theresa J. Wood of Zanesville, and Vonna Wood of Adamsville; a brother Russell Wood of Huntington, WV.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Freda P. Wood on January 24, 1998, as well as two brothers, and two sisters. Friends may call from 6-8 PM Tuesday May 24, 2005 at the Adamsville Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 8005 East Street, Adamsville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Granger officiating. Burial will follow in Otsego Methodist Church Cemetery
