Laurinda B. Newell, 78, of Jacksonville, Florida, formerly of Zanesville, died April 6, 2006 in Jacksonville, Florida. Mrs. Newell was born December 20, 1927 in Wyandot, Michigan, a daughter of the late John and Laura Sprutte. Surviving are her children, John (Pat) Phillips, Robert (Elaine) Phillips, Tom (Robyn) Phillips all of Michigan; Laura (James) Montgomery of West Virginia, Dorothy (Henry) Quintana, Laurinda Baylor both of Jacksonville; 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Newell on April 7, 2001. Graveside memorial services will be held at 3PM Sunday April 30, 2006 at Prospect Church Cemetery near Dresden with Pastor Richard Chambers officiating.The family will meet at the funeral home in Dresden at 2:30PM.
