A Celebration of Life for Kirk D. "Scoop" Lloyd, 73 of Newark will be held Friday March 21, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 1850 West Main Street with Minister Rob Hartman officiating. Burial will follow at Perryton Cemetery. Visitation will be observed from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.

Kirk passed on March 11, 2025 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center operated by Hospice of Central Ohio following a long battle with kidney disease. He was born July 4, 1951 in Bellaire to the late Howard A. and Kathryn M. (Dailey) Lloyd.

He retired with 36 years of service from Owens Corning Fiberglas. He was a longtime member of Southgate Church of Christ. He was a graduate of Newark High School.

Kirk is survived by his wife of 52 years, Debbie (Holmes) Lloyd; sons, Matt (Randa) Lloyd, Tim (Amanda) Lloyd; grandchildren, Kylee, Kaleb, Eliza, Keaton; sister, Judy (Bill) Morgan; several nieces and nephews.

The family requests memorial contributions to Hospice of Central Ohio, 2269 Cherry Valley Road, Newark, OH 43055. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
