A funeral service for Kenneth M. Wright, 86 of Newark will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday November 16, 2007 in the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Long officiating. Burial will be in Wilson Cemetery. Mr. Wright died Monday, November 12, 2007 at his residence. He was born October 29, 1921 in Newark to the late Austin and Helen (Redman) Wright. He was employed for 25 years as a service technician at Holland-Upham Appliance and was self-employed for a number of years. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was an active member of the Cox United Methodist Church and served as an usher and greeter. He was a member of Newark Elks Lodge BPOE # 391, former member of the Newark Maennerchor and Phi Sigma Chi. He enjoyed woodworking and fishing. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Esther (Gualtieri) Wright, whom he married April 29, 1950; son, Timothy Wright of Newark; daughter-in-law, Deborah Wright of Gahanna; brother, Charles (Marjorie) Wright of Winter Haven, Fla.; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Jeffery Wright; sister, Evelyn Mantonya; and grandson, Nathan Wright. Calling hours will be observed Thursday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 1850 W. Main Street, Newark.
