Kenneth V. Spiker, 61, of Nashport, went to be with his Lord at 5:15PM Friday May 20, 2005 at his home, following a two year illness. Mr. Spiker was born December 12, 1943 in Zanesville, a son of the late Charles and Dorothy (King) Spiker. A member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, he was a member of Future Farmers of America and Teamsters Local 410. He retired after driving for Matlack, Inc. for 25 years. Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Susan (Wallar) Spiker, whom he married on August 15, 1964; children, Christine (Steve) Kuhn of Nashport, Matthew (Lori) Spiker of Zanesville, Jeffrey (Erin) Spiker of Thousand Oaks, CA, grandchildren, Brittany Kuhn, Jonathan Kuhn, Briana Beck, Madeline Spiker, Vincent Spiker, Avery Spiker; sister, Norma J. Mozena of Dresden, sister and brother in law, Kay and Jim Hamme of Zanesville, sister?s in law, Margaret Basagill of Denver, CO, and Athern Sheets of Dresden and numerous nieces and nephews whom he truly loved, in addition to many other family and friends who supported him the last two years. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Teresa, a brother, Dwight E. Spiker on May 7, 1980 and a brother in law, Richard Wallar, Jr. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8PM on Sunday May 21, 2005 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Church at 1:00PM on Monday. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
