Kenneth W. Krebs, Sr., 66, of Paducah, KY, formerly of Dresden, died Tuesday January 5, 2010 in Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.
Mr. Krebs was born October 28, 1943 in Coshocton, OH, a son of the late Donald and Isabelle (Mox) Krebs. Mr. Krebs had worked as a fireman in Coshocton, also at Clow Water Systems and worked at the Conesville Coal Preparation Plant. In 1991 he transferred to the AEP Coal Cook Plant at Paducah. He attended the Gospel Mission Church in Paducah and was a former member and served briefly as pastor of the Black Run Church of God in Ohio.
Surviving are his children, Kristi Lynn Krebs of Grove City, Kendra (Francisco) Vincenty of Hilliard, Kenneth W. Krebs, Jr. and Carolyn Jack of Dresden, Stephanie (Glenn) Collinsworth of Henderson, Nevada, Heather Krebs of Hilliard; eight grandchildren, Kristen Vincenty, Kaleb Krebs, Benjamin Oh, Kenzie Krebs, Nicolas Vincenty, Rebecca Krebs, Elena Vincenty, Brooke Collinsworth; his former wife, Charlotte McKnight Krebs of Hilliard and her mother, Nadine McKnight; a brother-in-law, Billy Wentz of Coshocton and his long time friend who was at his side at his passing, Cathy Madden of Paducah.
He was preceded in death by brother, Donald Krebs and his wife Marylou and sister Ruthann Wentz.
Friends may call 2-6PM Saturday Janaury 9, 2010 at the Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home in Dresden, OH where services will be held on Sunday at 2PM with Pastor Joseph Clark officiating. Burial will be in the Dresden Cemetery and following the committal service a fellowship reception will be held at the Church of God on South Second St. in Coshocton.
A memorial service for Mr. Krebs will be held on Sunday January 17, 2010 at 3PM at Gospel Mission Church, 6905 Benton Road, Paducah, KY.
