A funeral service for Kenneth W. "Ken" Adams, 84 of Newark will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday March 26, 2021 at the First Baptist Church of Heath, 525 S. 30 ^th Street, Heath with Pastor Dave Welsch officiating.  Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Face masks and social distancing will be observed.

Mr. Adams passed away on Monday March 22, 2021 at Licking Memorial Hospital. He was born May 17, 1936 in Cherry Tree, PA to Frank J. and Alice M. (Antes) Adams.

He was a graduate of Harmony School District and involved with the FFA in Cherry Tree. Mr. Adams has been a member for 38 years at First Baptist Heath. He was active in the Men's Group and served as an usher. He was employed as a licensed master carpenter for several local construction companies and in more recent year's crafted furniture. He had a lifelong love of farming and John Deere tractors.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Catherine E. (Moomaw) Adams, whom he married on October 23, 1964; sons, John (Stacey) Adams of Newark, James (Janet) Adams of Glenford; grandchildren, Mackenzie Adams, Gabriella Adams, DJ Adams, Desiray Anders, James Anders; sisters, Arletta Mitchell, Winona McCullugh both of Cherry Tree, PA; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Adams; sister, Shirley Adams; brother, Sherman Adams.

The family requests memorial contributions to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio, 711 E. Livingston Avenue, Columbus, OH 43205.

A visitation will be observed Thursday March 25, 2021 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Vensil & Chute Funeral Home 1850 West Main Street, Newark
