FRAZEYSBURG – Kenneth W. Denman, 87, of Zanesville, Ohio died Monday evening, April 11, 2011 at Genesis Morrison House, Zanesville.
Born July 9, 1923 in Dresden, Ohio he was the son of the late Lester J. and Lola M. (Wiles) Denman and was a 1941 graduate of Lash High School. Mr. Denman was a veteran of World War II where he served in the European Theater with the U. S. Army. He was owner and operator of Kenneth Denman Builders. Mr. Denman was a member of First Christian Church of Zanesville, a life member of Sertoma and a member of Lafayette Lodge #79, F. & A. M.
Surviving is his wife of 67 years, M. Lois (Barkhurst) Denman whom he married August 6, 1943; two sons and daughters in-law, Ted W. and Lee Ann Denman of Edgewood, Kentucky and Mark W. and Sandra Leah Denman of Garrettsville, Ohio; two grandchildren, Kathy L. ("Jim") Darpel and Misty E. ("Jamie") Lawrence; five great grandchildren, James Mason Lawrence, Owen D. Lawrence, Kylee M. Lawrence, Madeline O. Darpel and Miranda L. Darpel; two brothers, Harold J. Denman of Nashport, Ohio and Keith W. (Patsy) Denman of Zanesville; one sister, Patricia Ann (John Raymond) Knight of Pickerington, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Paul, Ronnie and Dwight Denman and two infant brothers.
Calling hours will be from 11am to 1pm Thursday, April 14, 2011 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Thursday, April 14, 2011 at the funeral home with the Rev. Dawn L. Remster officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
