Kelly Cameron Miller, age 57, passed away Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Mount Carmel St. Ann's Hospital in Westerville, Ohio.

Born October 18, 1960 in Newark, Ohio, he is the son of Ron and Betty (Barrick) Miller of Frazeysburg, Ohio and was a 1979 graduate of Licking Valley High School. Kelly received his bachelor's degree from Ashland College (now Ashland University) and a master's degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati. He retired after serving 31 years as a probation officer in Licking County, Ohio and was Chief Probation Officer for his last 10 years of service. Kelly taught part-time at Central Ohio Technical College in Newark, Ohio and was a guest lecturer at Mount Vernon Nazarene University in Mount Vernon, Ohio. He was a past member of the Ohio Interstate Compact Commission, Ohio Chief Probation Officer's Association Executive Board, The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections Community Corrections Collaborative, and a guest instructor for both the Ohio Supreme Court and Ohio Department of Corrections. Since retiring, Miller had been consulting through his company KCM Consulting.

An avid local sports enthusiast, Kelly began officiating youth baseball in 1973 with the Licking Valley Little League. He officiated local basketball games for more than 36 years, and was a veteran high school football, softball and baseball Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) sports official for more than 28 years. He was a past Licking County Secretary for football and basketball, and most recently served as the Licking County League (LCL) Commissioner.

Kelly was a loyal parishioner of St. James Episcopal Church in Zanesville, enjoyed singing in his Church choir and with the Land of Legend Barbershop Chorus, and was a former Licking Valley Lions and current Newark Lions Club member.

In addition to his parents, Kelly is survived by his beloved wife of 31 years, Jeannie R. (Fitch) Miller whom he married October 4, 1986; a daughter, Emily Miller of Grandview, Ohio; a brother, Kyle (Lisa) Miller of Heath, Ohio; and many loving family and long-time friends.

In keeping with Kelly's wishes, there will be no calling hours.

Funeral services will be 2:00pm Thursday, May 10, 2018 at St. James Episcopal Church, 155 North Sixth Street, Zanesville, Ohio with Father Rob Willmann officiating.
