Kathryn F. Longaberger, 97 of Dresden died September 26, 2012 at Autumn Healthcare of Coshocton.

She was born December 22, 1914 in Bristol, PA to the late Clarence and Ellen (Bilger) Craig. From the age of eight she was raised by Frank and Kate Ogle.

A 1933 graduate of Jefferson High School, Kate was a homemaker. She had worked part-time at the Dresden Branch Library and Jefferson High cafeteria. She was a member of the Dresden Presbyterian Church for 80 years. An avid gardener, Kate also enjoyed crafts and sewing. She made many pieced baby blankets and crocheted rag rugs.

Survivors include her son, John (Joyce) Longaberger of Conesville; daughter, Ellen Andrews of Dresden; grandchildren, Melody (Ken) Lowe, Renee (Pat) Anderson, Jim (Hope) Longaberger, Jeff (Jodi) Haines, all of Coshocton, John (Debbie) Haines of Wills Creek, Julie (Bob) Niswonger of Bristow, VA., and Carrie Barnes of Zanesville; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Glenn Longaberger, whom she married October 20, 1934 and who died December 13, 1974; and her "other daughter" Reva McClure.

Friends and family may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, September 28, 2012 and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, September 29, 2012 at the DRESDEN CHAPEL of VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME, 714 Main Street, Dresden.

A funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. William McClelland officiating. Burial will be in Dresden Cemetery.
