Kathleen S. "Kathy" Fleming, 67, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Tuesday evening, May 8, 2018 at the Selma Markowitz Center, operated by Hospice of Central Ohio in Newark, Ohio.

Born October 9, 1950 in Zanesville, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Leonard E. and Thelma C. (Lambert) Gates Lewis and was a 1969 graduate of Tri-Valley High School. During high school she was a "Candy Striper" at the Bethesda Hospital.  Later she was a volunteer at both Bethesda and Good Samaritan Hospitals as well as volunteering at Frazeysburg School where her sons attended.  She was employed by Howard Johnston's in Zanesville and by Ohio Plastics of Frazeysburg.  Mrs. Fleming was a member of Coburn United Methodist Church in Zanesville.

Surviving are two sons, James K. (Jody Seals) Fleming of Dresden and Walter K. Fleming of Frazeysburg; five grandchildren, Kirsten Fleming, Shaun Fleming, Laila Fleming, Josi Seals and Jaden Seals; one brother, Mark Lewis of Trinway; one sister, Brenda (Dave) Sesser of Dresden and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter K. Fleming, whom she married March 23, 1974 and who died August 17, 1993; her step-father, John Lewis and a brother, John Lewis.

Calling hours will be 5pm to 8pm Monday, May 14, 2018 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at the funeral home with Pastor Justin Williams and Pastor Webster Cox officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
