Julie A. Hullhorst, 65, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Wednesday afternoon, May 3, 2023 at Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark, Ohio.

Born May 31, 1957 in Toledo, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Adeline (Lewis) Mowka and was a 1975 graduate of E. L. Bowsher High School of Toledo. Julie was a homemaker and for many years she was a manager at the Winerak of Zanesville.

Julie was an excellent cook. She found great satisfaction in cooking beautiful and delicious meals for her family and friends. She enjoyed fishing, swimming, and fireworks, for any occasion. Julie loved her grandkids, Emma and Jack, beyond measure and watching them grow was one of her greatest joys in life. She was generous beyond belief with her love and with her time.

Surviving is a daughter and son in-law, Heather and Dusty Meadows of Dresden and her grandchildren, Emma and Jack Meadows; a sister, Jan (Phil Sweeney) Mowka of Amherst, Massachusetts; two brothers, John Mowka of Fort Edward, New York and Jerome (Barbara) Mowka of Toledo, Ohio. Also surviving is a special niece, Angela Earl; several other nieces and nephews and her very special pets, her dogs "Mack" and "Rita".

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of nearly 35 years, Robert H. Hullhorst whom she married September 23, 1977 and who died March 9, 2012; a daughter Jessica Mae Hullhorst who died January 24, 2022 and a brother, Jim Mowka.

Friends and family may call from 2pm to 4pm Sunday, May 7, 2023 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.

Funeral services will be at 4pm Sunday, May 7, 2023 at the funeral home with Chaplain Dave Mason officiating.

Following the funeral service, a reception will be held at Julie's home in Frazeysburg. All are welcome to attend.
