Judy "Lala" Cartnal, 77, of Newark, Ohio died Tuesday morning, December 21, 2021 at Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark, Ohio.

Born March 12, 1944, in Portsmouth, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Homer G. and Emogene (Hammond) Henson.  Judy was retired from The Longaberger Company where she worked in the sewing department, and she was a member of the Licking Valley Church of Christ.  Judy, or "Lala" to her grandkids, believed that family was extremely important.  She cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She also enjoyed watching harness racing any chance she could.

Surviving is her husband Roger H. Cartnal, whom she married on July 4, 1998; four sons, Toney Dwayne (Shelly) Marcum of Dresden, Travis Lee (Cindy) Marcum of Zanesville, Roger J. (Angie) Cartnal of Heath and Jimmy Williams; three daughters, Kathy L. (Daryl) Poe and Karen Johnson both of Ft. Collins, Colorado and Kerri (Scot) Postle of Hanover; fourteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren with two on the way; two sisters, Joann "Jo" (Ken) Saltz of Pataskala, Ohio and Cathy L. (Mike) Camp of Ft. Myers, Florida; and many cherished nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Mikel Henson.

Friends and family may call from 10:00am until time of service at 11:00am on Monday, December 27, 2021 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00am with Cory Campbell officiating.

Judy will be laid to rest at Dresden Cemetery.
