**In Loving Memory of Judith "Judy" A. Moreland (December 24, 1960 - September 18, 2023)**
At Sunrise, Monday morning, September 18, 2023, our hearts were forever touched by the loss
of a truly remarkable soul, Judith "Judy" A. Moreland. She was 62 years old and resided in
Frazeysburg, Ohio.
Born on December 24, 1960, in Portsmouth, Ohio, Judy was the beloved daughter of Loretta
(LeMaster) Conley and the late Ellis M. Conley. Judy's life was a testament to love, faith, and
unwavering dedication to her family and community.
Judy's faith in Jesus Christ was the cornerstone of her life. She recently found solace and
inspiration at Meadow View Church of Christ, where her devotion to the Lord shone brightly.
A loving homemaker, Judy's days were dedicated to creating a world filled with joy for her
cherished family and friends. Her culinary skills were legendary, and she expressed her love
through the art of cooking and baking, even running her own cake business. Each creation was
a masterpiece crafted with love, tailored to the recipient. She also used to run a daycare from
her home and touched the lives of countless families. Her love for children was unmatched, and
she was a magnet to them.
Judy's passions extended to classic rock and roll, exhilarating four-wheeler rides with her
grandkids and faithful dog Willow, tending to her garden, mowing the grass, embarking on
scenic drives with her husband, and passionately supporting The Ohio State Buckeyes. Her
mornings were a chorus of family chit-chats, fueled by the comforting aroma of coffee, a
tradition she held dear. Judy was a devoted grandmother who did everything for her grandkids
and was always there if they needed her - attending their sporting events and school activities
with wholehearted dedication. She loved her country and all things Americana.
However, above all else, Judy's heart was devoted to her family, with her grandchildren holding
a special place. She lived to serve them and others, epitomizing the essence of selflessness
and compassion.
Judy believed in living life to the fullest, cherishing each day as a precious gift. She understood
that true freedom lay in savoring life, unburdened by regrets. Judy took pride in making her
husband, children, grandchildren, and even her cherished dog feel fiercely loved, cared for, and
protected.
Holidays were a canvas for Judy's boundless creativity, where she showcased her talents as the
most creative artist. She hand-drew portraits for her family, created unique and captivating
pieces of art, and made every celebration a masterpiece. Her life was a tapestry woven with
threads of joy, compassion, and boundless freedom.
Now, Judy has ascended to the glorious heavens, free from pain and suffering, embracing the
everlasting love of her Heavenly Father. She will forever be their most extraordinary and
compassionate guardian angel, diligently watching over her cherished grandchildren with
boundless love and grace.
Judy is survived by her devoted husband, Thomas "Tom" Moreland, whom she married on June
29, 1985. She leaves behind her son, Johnnie (Joanna) Moreland of Dresden, her daughter,
Amber Naber of Frazeysburg, and her four adoring grandchildren: Reece Naber, Joelle
Moreland, Josiah Moreland, and Quinn Naber.
She is also survived by her loving mother, Loretta (LeMaster) Conley of Nashport, her brother
Gary Conley of Zanesville, and her sisters, Darlene (Mark) Williams of Coshocton, and Marilyn
(Troy) Spiker of Frazeysburg. Judy is fondly remembered by her sisters-in-law, Sherry Lewis
and Sheila Walters, both of West Lafayette, along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces,
nephews, and cousins.
Judy was preceded in death by her father, Ellis M. Conley, as well as her brother-in-law and
sister-in-law, Ron (Sue) Whited. She also joins her father and mother-in-law, Thomas Sr. and
Delores (Crothers) Moreland, in eternal peace.
