Juanita Smith, 96, of 308 High Street Dresden, died at 10:10PM Wednesday February 26, 2003 in Genesis Bethesda Hospital. A life long resident of Dresden, she was born January 22, 1907, a daughter of the late William and Alta (Taylor) Hindle. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dresden and had been a secretary at the Ohio Power Company. Surviving is a sister in law, Gladys Hindle of Zanesville, several nieces and nephews and many dear friends including Jim McCloy of Nashport She was preceded in death by her first husband, Norman Bushman on July 3, 1930, her second husband, Joshua Dean Smith, on July 20, 1979 and a brother, Edward W. Hindle on March 22, 1980. Friends may call 2-4PM & 6-8PM Friday February 28, 2003 at the Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home in Dresden where services will be held at 11AM Saturday with Pastor Andrew Dennis officiating. Burial will follow in the Dresden Cemetery.
